The roadmap describes the sequence of our development work in terms of time and content. It is constantly being refined.
The current roadmap includes the following development directions:
- Material: non-woven and fiber parameters
- Material: Using recycled elements and components
- Material: Optimization of fiber connection and additives
- Process: Functional surfaces
- Process: Spraying process and technique
- Packaging, design and modelling
- Development of automated manufacturing process
- Procedures for treatment and recycling
- Smart solutions
Meetings have already taken place with the most important partners (Held GmbH and Fabrican Ltd. in April 2022) and a network meeting to develop the content of the projects (in August 2022).The first feasibility tests were also carried out in the area of the material (compliance with standards, e.g. with regard to tear strength) with promising results.
R&D projects will be developed and made available in outline form by the end of 2022, and partners with the required skills will be sought.
The first project applications for funding for the R&D projects will be submitted by September 2023 (end of phase 1 of the network project). The extension of the network project by a further 3 years is being applied for.
The first funded R&D projects should start as early as autumn 2023. All developments should be completed by 2026/2027.
